As a ceramic artist and plants woman, my work reflects my deep connection to the natural world and my concern for its preservation. I use real plant materials in my pieces as a way of highlighting the beauty and power of these organisms and the vital role they play in our ecosystem. At the same time, I’m using the imagery of buildings and destruction exploring the themes of preservation, power dynamics, and the fragility of the natural environment. I incorporate the textures, colours and forms of the plants in the clay, and carefully select the plant material to ensure that each piece conveys the unique characteristics of the plant. My goal is to create pieces that are not just beautiful but also thought-provoking, encouraging the viewer to consider their own relationship with nature and the importance of protecting it. Each piece is a reflects of my desire to raises awareness and inspire action towards preserving our planet's biodiversity.
